A couple of weekends ago I stopped by this little shop called STUMP.
STUMP is located in the Italian Village of Columbus, OH. They have the coolest selection of plants and many unique, custom planters as well.
When I stopped in I was really excited to get some photos of the shop and the plants. Photographing nature might be one of my favorite things! Anyways...Emily and Brian, the owners, were both there and eager to help in any way. I told them that I was starting a blog and wanted to get some photos. They said if I needed any photography tips or wanted to move things around that they would be happy to help! It was really nice how genuinely interested in helping they were.
Their goal at STUMP is to “introduce and educate people about the benefits of owning and caring for plants”. I do not know a whole lot about plants, but I do love learning new things; so, they were there to answer all my questions.
If you know me you know that I love things that are miniature. I just think they're so cute. There were so many little plants at the shop - I was too excited. In all honesty, though, plants make a great addition to any space - home or office. I love succulents because they are easy to care for, but there are many different kinds of plants to choose from that will fit your needs.
One thing that makes STUMP different from other plant shops is their quality pots. They have a three-tier planter program – including planters and fixtures made by STUMP RESIDENT ARTISTS. They allow artists to live in the apartment above the shop to create, to showcase their work and to build their client base.
In the back of the shop is where all the succulents hang out. Succulents need direct sunlight to survive.
It's all about the angles...
