Toast Bar

Toast Bar

I’m always into trying new things and visiting new places. It’s good to be able to know your city so that you can speak to it. If someone is visiting – you can be their go-to for tips on things to do and places to go. I’ve lived in Columbus for almost 4 years now, and I’m just now starting to explore the city (I know, crazy right?). There are so many gems here.

I recently started following danthebaker on Instagram. He makes bread look like art – it’s beautiful. Being a fan of bread myself – I wanted to check out his Toast Bar. It just happens to be located in Grandview where I live. I hadn’t ever been over to that part of Grandview before, but let me tell you…this place is so cute. It is tiny and the bread is displayed on shelves on the wall, again, just like art.

Pastries, pastries, pastries.

Pastries, pastries, pastries.

More often than not, every time I go somewhere new where there are lots of options, I ask the people that work there what they recommend. I knew I wanted to try the Toast-Flight – you choose three different types of toast and three different kinds of spread. They chose for me.

My Toast-Flight:
Pecan Raisin, 2x Sesame and Pain de Mie toast
Cultured Snowville Butter, House Raspberry Preserves and Chocolate-Hazelnut spread

They serve it to you on a wooden block. I also got a chai latte. It was delicious.

Chai is my favorite.

Chai is my favorite.

This chai was so pretty - yes, pretty.

While I was sitting there eating I saw them bring out other guests’ food. It all looked so good. I cannot wait to go back and try more.
