Where to Stay in Imerovigli, Greece: Airbnb Style
When you think of visiting Santorini your mind probably goes straight to Oia. Oia is a must for sure, but don't miss out on Imerovigli. Imerovigli is about a 21 minute drive south east of Oia. The views are breathtaking, and the vibe is chill and slower paced.
Vibe & Space
This Airbnb is appropriately named the "Author's Cave." This cave home allows you to step back in time. It is actually built into the rock itself. There is wooden furniture and wooden staircases that lead to two of the beds.
Even though this property can accommodate up to 6 guests, it is a very romantic space.
There is a kitchen in the villa as well. We did not use it, but it was a great option to have if you were staying with a big party and wanted to cook dinner in-house for the group.
Views
My favorite thing about the villa was the incredible caldera views. The large veranda allowed for privacy with uninterrupted views. We were able to wakeup to the breathtaking, Santorini sky every morning as well as enjoy wine and take out on in the evening.
Location
The location could not be any more perfect. The villa sits on the west side of the island which is where the amazing caldera views are. It is also situated within walking distance to a small grocery store, bars and restaurants.
Airbnb Superhost
Airbnb Superhosts are known for going above and beyond for their guests. I honestly will not book an Airbnb unless it is a Superhost listing. Vicky was so amazing. She responded quick and was able to answer all of our questions. She helped to book our catamaran excursion and with finding one of Santorini's famous photo spots.
Cost
The cost for the Airbnb is going to depend on the time of year you go. We went in early September, and it was around $452 a night. It may seem like a lot, but for Santorini and for those views - it was a great deal and beyond worth it.
